The Reverend Dr. Dwight A. Moody
Founder and president of the Academy of Preachers
The Rev. Dr. Dwight A. Moody is an ordained Baptist minister, and formerly served as pastor of churches in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. The author of four books and numerous articles, he has also served as professor and dean of the chapel at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY, and is an adjunct professor of Baptist Seminary of Kentucky. He earned his master of divinity and Ph.D. degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.
Founder and President, Academy of Preachers: Beginning in January, 2009, serving as Founder and President of a new national initiative of the Lilly Endowment, designed to identify, network, support, and inspire young people of all Christian denominations who aspire to be preachers of the Gospel: www.academyofpreachers.net
